15 Jul Did You Know That “STRESS” Isn’t Even Real?
“The components of anxiety, stress, fear, and anger do not exist independently of you in the world. They simply do not exist in the physical world, even though we talk about them as if they do.” Wayne Dyer
Isn’t it crazy that we blame so much of our troubles on something that doesn’t even exist? There are conditions in this world, contrasts that are a part of being human, but these conditions are neutral until we assign them a value. A situation is only “stressful” if our response to it is negative and harmful. Humans invented stress and we can just as easily un-invent it. We have conditions, but our conditions don’t have to have us, unless we let them.
Decide today that every event is just that, an event, and assign the value to it that best serves you. Look for the gifts in everything. See challenges as opportunities for growth, not as excuses to be upset or miserable or sick. Own your power to choose how you will feel about everything.
