06 Apr How Many Years Will You Live?
I had an amazing childhood, running wild all over town, riding my horse, free as a song. My teenage years were consumed with my dream of being an actress and singer. I worked my way through college as a radio announcer, and worked on and off in local television as a talk show host, commercial producer, actress and voiceover talent.
I was married for a minute in my 20’s, a wartime bride actually, finally graduated from college and came to the conclusion that sales was the place for the money and success I wanted. My dream of being an actress and singer somehow, someway died a very undramatic death; just faded away while I wasn’t looking. I don’t know the moment that I started to “settle” and to make decisions according to what was possible, instead of according to my dreams, but I did. It wasn’t until I was divorced and in my 30s that I started to question this again, to study the Law of Attraction, spirituality and other mental and psychological practices. As a sales person, I studied a LOT about the power of attitude, visioning the outcomes I wanted, the power of positive thinking…. all the great stuff that salespeople learn to apply and that we can all benefit from in our lives.
Through many great successes and spectacular failures, I slowly but surely came to the place that I knew I was creating my life and I learned how to really create it on purpose, according to what I really wanted, not what I believed was possible, and I created the incredible life I have now.
I live on a mountainside in the Appalachian Mountains, very isolated and remote, with my 2 dogs and 4 cats. We have no neighbors to speak of, the roads are so far away that we rarely hear cars, or even airplanes…. we are all free to come and go as we please. I have work that I love, I make my own schedule and earn plenty of money. I have a healer/massage therapist that comes to my house every other week, a personal stylist and shopper, a housekeeper… my health is amazing and my weight is easily and gracefully approaching perfect (today is July 15, 2018).
In 2014 I was sitting on my gorgeous patio, dogs at my feet, surrounded by the magic of my mountain, bursting with joy and happiness, when I made the decision that my purpose in life was to help others live like this, in total joy, without taking decades to figure out how. And on that day I dubbed myself “Lauren G. Foster, Happiness Coach” and created Be Happy First.

Now that you know more about me, here are some questions many people ask…
While I am willing to and qualified to coach any human, I find that my ideal client looks like this…
She is typically between the ages of 35 and 55 and is a salesperson or business owner (or wants to be). She has studied or been exposed to Universal Principles like the Law of Attraction, the Law of Vibration and positive psychology. She realizes that it is not only possible, but her right to have an amazing life in every way and she is eagerly seeking ways to live that dream quickly, with ease and grace. She understands the value of coaching and mentoring and having a structure of study and is willing to invest her time, money and energy into the pursuit of her dream of success, wealth, beauty and love. She pays up front with complete willingness, always comes to her appointments prepared and on time. She brings an open mind, the mind of a student or a child to every lesson and tries everything on for herself before dismissing any new idea. She loves getting in better touch with her highest nature and becoming a better version of herself every day. She is a thirsty sponge, dedicated to developing a mindset that is “open to everything and attached to nothing.” She is more and more in love with her life every day and is eager to share what she is learning with others and to bring them along on her journey. She is involved and invested in class and openly shares her thoughts and experiences, bringing even greater value to the group experience. She is a bright shining light! I love her and feel so blessed to be included in her journey.
What should you look for in a coach?
When you are seeking a life or health coach, be sure that you feel a sense of connection with them, that they are able to evoke in you an excitement about creating an amazing life for yourself, and that they are uplifting! You are unique, you have a unique path that you get to choose for yourself; your coach should be your guide, your cheerleader, your accountability partner and should totally believe in you. She will bring out the best in you and help you to chart your own course.
How do you know if you’re ready for a coach?
Ask yourself these questions….. What does my life look like now? In what area(s) do I want to see improvement? What has kept me from getting the results I want up until now? How willing am I to invest in making a real change in my life? (not just money, but time, energy and attention) Am I willing to commit to a structure and to accept the support and guidance of a professional?
