18 Apr How Will You Nurture Your Self Esteem Today?
“Our self-image, strongly held, essentially determines what we become.”
“Low self-esteem is like driving through life with your hand-brake on.”
– Maxwell Maltz
Both of these quotes are from Maxwell Maltz; I couldn’t choose so I decided to use both. 🙂
Our self-esteem is like a thermostat, set on sameness, which keeps us stuck in the almost exact place that we are. If you want to know the state of your self-esteem, you have only to look at your life. Are you experiencing great things; growth, joy, abundance, inspiration and love? Or are you attracting and experiencing loss? Having thoughts and feelings of lack and limitation, illness and sadness?
The only way to move forward is to improve our self-image, to learn to love and appreciate ourselves and to strive for growth. We have to learn to tune our frequency to what we love, just like changing the channel to get different pictures on your TV. But not quite that instantly. We learn to raise and tune our vibration one thought at a time, one action at a time, one decision at a time.
Start now! Pay attention to what you are doing and saying. If you hear yourself say, “I always” or “I never” or “I am….”, make sure those words are followed by what you want to be. I AM is your sacred name. If you catch yourself saying something dis-empowering, like “I am always late”, add these words; “Up Until Now”, to negate that statement, and then envision yourself as the prompt, in control person in your vision.
If you don’t yet have a “vision” of the life you would love to have, GET ONE! You must have a destination if you are to chart a course. I will be happy to help you with this, just email me.
